Basbous & Sons sells new Yamaha and Kawai acoustic pianos in Lebanon, sourced to order through our partner showroom in Qatar and delivered, tuned and registered anywhere in the country.
New or restored
Most houses will only sell you what they have. We hold nineteen instruments on the floor in Byblos and can order anything we do not, which means the honest answer is available to us: sometimes a new piano is the right instrument, and sometimes a restored one is the better piano for less money.
Come and play both. The collection is on the floor, and a new equivalent can be quoted the same day.
How an order works

Tell us the instrument
Model, finish and room. If you are not sure yet, come and play the equivalent instrument in the showroom first — we hold used and restored examples of most models on the floor.

We quote, you confirm
A written quotation with the final delivered price, the lead time and the terms. Thirty percent on confirmation, balance on delivery. Nothing is ordered before you sign.

Sourced and shipped
The instrument is sourced through our partner showroom in Qatar and shipped to Lebanon. Customs and transport are handled by the house and included in the quoted price.
- 04
Delivered, tuned, registered
We deliver and install, tune the piano once it has settled in your room, and enter it in The Piano Registry with its serial and service history.
Included in every order
Transport and customs. Delivery and installation in the room. The first tuning once the instrument has settled. An entry in The Piano Registry under its serial. And the house warranty, serviced by the only French-certified piano restorer in Lebanon.

Do you sell new pianos in Lebanon?
- Yes. Basbous & Sons sells new Yamaha and Kawai acoustic pianos to order, alongside the used and restored instruments on the showroom floor in Byblos. New instruments are sourced through our partner showroom in Qatar and delivered anywhere in Lebanon.
Can I see the piano before I buy it?
- You can play the same model in our showroom before ordering. We keep used and restored examples of most Yamaha and Kawai models, so you can hear the instrument and judge the action before committing to a new one.
What does a new piano cost in Lebanon?
- New uprights start higher than our restored uprights, which begin at $2,200, and new grands above our restored grands, which begin at $6,500. The final figure depends on model, finish and shipping, and is confirmed in a written quotation before anything is ordered.
How long does a new piano take to arrive?
- Lead time depends on the model and on what our partner showroom holds in stock at the time of the order. The confirmed lead time is written into your quotation, and we do not take a deposit without one.
Is a new piano better than a restored one?
- Not automatically. A new instrument arrives with no history and a full service life ahead of it. A well-restored Yamaha or Kawai from the 1970s or 80s was often built to a heavier specification than its modern equivalent and costs considerably less. We will tell you honestly which one suits the room, the player and the budget.
